How I Scaled My Twitter Impressions from 20K to 2M in 60 Days

Every so often, we stumble upon a milestone that prompts us to look back and reflect on the journey we've taken. Today, I'm doing just that, sharing my personal experience and the lessons I've learned while growing my Twitter presence in the NFT space from 20K to a staggering 2M impressions in 60 days.

While I made my learnings in the NFT space, they can be applied to accounts across all niches.

Leveraging your Community

My first tip is to use your community. For example, my passion for y00ts and Moonbirds, two popular NFT brands I use as my profile picture, has significantly influenced my growth on Twitter.

I enjoy talking about them, sharing their journey, and creating value for their community. But it wasn't just about sharing information - I added my individual take.

For instance, in an analysis on Moonbirds, I drew parallels between the NFT project and the automotive industry, a field I have consulted in. These unique insights helped me stand out and create engaging content that my followers appreciated.

The Art of Replying

Growing a Twitter account at this pace requires time and effort, mainly when replying to comments. Both the timing and quality of your responses matter. Engaging in conversations, answering questions, or acknowledging comments can significantly boost your visibility.

The more you engage, the more your tweets get noticed. The top influencers in the NFT space reply to anywhere between 70 and 400 tweets a day. However, a couple of things to remember to avoid a dreaded shadow ban when engaging at that frequency.

1. Don’t post repetitive replies.

2. Take a break of 15-20 seconds between each reply.

3. Don’t go on reply strikes longer than 10 minutes.

4. You should focus on engaging with accounts that follow you, as Twitter measures tie strength between accounts. Conversely, if you often engage with accounts that don’t follow you, you risk your content being flagged as spam.

Sticking to Your Timezone

Another critical aspect is to stick to your time zone. While catering to followers from different time zones may be tempting, it is challenging and exhausting in the long run. The community in your time zone is big enough.

Instead, you can find out when your followers are most active and schedule your tweets accordingly. You can use tools like Typefully or Circleboom to determine when your audience is the most active.

The Engagement Hack

The engagement hack is a simple yet effective strategy. You want active followers in your timezone who engage and comment on your posts. So how do you find these people?

Find influencers in your time zone. See who interacts with their posts and answers the questions they ask. Follow these people and go to their Twitter profiles. Comment and engage with them and try to build a sustainable relationship.

What do I mean by that? Don't just reply with one word, but take your time to write quality replies and add value to them.

Authenticity and Individuality

Lastly, be authentic and individual. People can quickly tell when someone is being genuine or not. Share your unique views and experiences. Show your personality in your tweets. Authenticity resonates with people and helps build trust, which is crucial for growth on any social media platform.

After two months of applying these strategies, my tweet impressions skyrocketed from 20K to 2M. It required effort, dedication, and a consistent approach, but the results were worth it.
